Add an inbound domain

POST/v1/inbound/domains

Create an inbound domain: a managed address (<slug>.<inbound zone>) or your own domain.

Requires a full-access live key; test keys get 403 test_key_restricted.

Body parameters

managedboolean
true: create an instant managed domain <10 random lowercase chars>.<inbound zone>; no DNS needed; name is ignored. Default False.
namestring
Required unless managed is true. Your own domain. It (or a parent) must be verified for sending by the account. Then publish MX 10 <inbound host> and call verify. Limits: invalid → 422 invalid_parameter "invalid domain name"; ZapSMTP-owned names → 422 reserved_domain; not verified for sending → 403 domain_not_verified
reject_spamboolean
Refuse messages flagged as spam at SMTP time instead of delivering them with is_spam: true. Default False.
require_tlsboolean
Accept encrypted mail only: senders without STARTTLS are refused with 530 5.7.0.

Errors

verify <name> (or its parent domain) for sending first; inbound reuses that proof of ownership

test-mode keys can send test email and read, not change the account: use a live key
conflictHTTP 409
this domain already receives mail on ZapSMTP
invalid_parameterHTTP 422
invalid domain name
reserved_domainHTTP 422
this domain is reserved by ZapSMTP; use a managed address or your own domain
